Smartrom
Overview
Smartrom is a special option for the Smart 16/4 Ringnode family,
based on Flash ROM technology. It enables network administrators
to improve security and simplify the configuration management
of networked PCs by taking advantage of popular remote booting
schemes and boot-time set-up options. Smartrom can guard against
system viruses, with full password protection, by controlling
disk access at boot time. It can also be used to prevent unauthorized
network access in promiscuous mode.
