OS/2 Warp Connect Peer v3.0

  1. In the Product Selection dialog, click OK.
  2. Select Madge Smart Ringnodes for OS/2 v2.x.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click the OS/2 Peer Tab in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  6. Type a workstation name and a Domain name.
  7. Click Install.
  8. The system performs installation routines for some time, and eventually reboots itself. During the boot process a message might appear saying that the system failed to bind NETBEUI to MCBND_NIF. If you receive this message, press [ENTER] as prompted by the PC, and follow the instructions in the remainder of this section. If you do not receive the message click here.
  9. A screen appears telling you which products have been installed. Click OK.
  10. The PC reboots again.
  11. When the PC reboots, you will see the earlier message about NETBEUI failing to bind to MCBND_NIF. Press [ENTER] as prompted by the PC.
  12. When the STARTUP.CMD screen appears, close it.
  13. Double-click on the MPTS icon.
  14. Click OK.
  15. Click Configure.
  16. Click Configure again.
  17. Select IBM OS/2 NETBIOS, and click Remove.
  18. Click Other Adapters.
  19. Put the Madge CSS Release Disk into the floppy drive.
  20. Type the path A:\OS2.
  21. Click OK.
  22. From the list of network adapters, select Madge 16/4 CardBus Adapter, and click Add.
  23. From the list of protocols, select IBM OS/2 NETBIOS, and click Add.
  24. Click OK.
  25. Click Close.
  26. Click Exit.
  27. Click Exit again.
  28. Click OK.
  29. Click Exit.
  30. Shut down and reboot the PC.
