Hardware and Software Installation overview

Madge Wizard is an integrated software utility to help with all stages of the Ringnode installation process. You can find information on how to use Madge Wizard and a description of its capabilities in the "Using Madge Wizard" section.

1. Install your Smart Ringnode into your computer by following the instructions provided in the Getting Started booklet. Detailed information for specific adapters is provided in the "Ringnode installation" and configuration section.

2. Configure and test your Ringnode. Configuration information for specific adapters is contained in the Ringnode installation and configuration section. Information on additional utilities for configuring and testing your Ringnode can be found in the "Software utilities" section.

3. Run the installation software for your operating system. Drivers for most popular environments are on CSS Release Disk 2. Information on selecting and installing driver disks is covered in the Driver software installation section. Madge Wizard provides an alternative means to modify DOS client driver set ups without need to run a separate installation program.
