EISA configuration file

For further information about the configuration options, refer to the help menus in the configuration program.

Note: For ease of use, the Smart 16/4 Fiber EISA Ringnode uses the same software and configuration files as the Smart 16/4 EISA Ringnode (STP/UTP version). Hence, references to STP and UTP cabling in the configuration software do not apply to this Ringnode.

To configure the Ringnode:

Copy the !MDG0002.CFG file from the Madge Install disk onto the system configuration disk, which is supplied with your computer.
Run the configuration program and use the view/edit options to check and modify the configuration according to your requirements.

You have the choice between level- and edge-sensitive interrupts. We recommend that you use level-sensitive. For information about the two types of interrupt, refer to the help menu of the configuration program.

The configuration procedure may vary slightly depending on the manufacturer and model of your EISA computer.
