Saving DOS memory
To save DOS memory, ensure that you load the network drivers only when you are going to use the network. Perform either of the following:
- Use the facilities of DOS version 6.x to create a choice of configurations for starting-up your computer. Include at least one configuration that loads no network drivers.
- Use the Madge IFADAP with DOS version 5.x (or earlier), to ensure that the network drivers load only when you are going to use the network.
