Drivers for Windows for Workgroups

• For maximum performance in a single-protocol environment, use the Fastmac Plus drivers.

• For DOS memory savings, use the Smart Software.

• For multiple-protocol support, particularly for combinations of interfaces that include LLC, use the Smart Software.

To use a Smart 16/4 PCMCIA Ringnode with Windows for WorkGroups, you must either:

• Use the NDIS2 driver with DOS Card and Socket Services loaded.

• Use the NDIS3 Windows for Workgroups driver that incorporates a direct card enabler for Intel compatible controllers for the Madge card only, without DOS Card and Socket Services.

  Note also that an ODI driver cannot be used.
