Installing the Smart NDIS driver

1. Copy the EXTRACT.EXE file from the \SMART directory of the LAN Support Software Disk 2 onto your hard disk. This is a self-extracting executable file which contains all of the necessary Smart files. Run EXTRACT to unpack these files.

2. Run Network Setup.

3. Click on Drivers.

4. Click on Remove. Remove drivers and protocols currently installed on the Ringnode.

5. Shut down and reboot your computer.

6. Run Network Setup again.

7. Click on Add Adapter.

8. Select Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter.

9. Type the path of where you ran EXTRACT and press Enter.

10. Select the Ringnode installed in your computer. Continue through the program. When you have finished, ensure that Upper Memory is enabled.

11. Shut down and reboot your computer.
