Installing the MDGND.OS2 driver for Banyan VINES

To install the MDGND.OS2 driver software, perform the instructions below (versions earlier than VINES 5.50(1) require a patch from Banyan).

Install VINES for an IBM Token-Ring adapter, selecting NDIS Driver Token Ring from the New Driver Selection menu in VCLIENT.
Edit your CONFIG.SYS file by changing the line: DEVICE=C:\<VINESDIR>\<DRIVERS>\BN_NDIS\ND_TOK\IBMTOK.OS2 to: DEVICE=C:\<VINESDIR>\<DRIVERS>\BN_NDIS\ND_TOK\MDGND.OS2
Copy the file MDGND.OS2 to: C:\<VINESDIR>\<DRIVERS>\BN_NDIS\ND_TOK
Edit PROTOCOL.INI by replacing the [IBMTOK_NIF] section with:
```
[MDGND_NIF]
	DRIVERNAME=MDGND$
```
In PROTOCOL.INI, change all other occurrences of IBMTOK to MDGND.
