Installing MDGND.OS2 onto OS/2 CID with LAPS

This section describes how to install MDGND.OS2 onto a server that runs OS/2 LAN Server 4.0 or OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 that has LAN CID (Configuration Installation Distribution) software installed. CID provides a centrally managed system of OS/2 version 2.x that can create, configure, and distribute software on a LAN.

The instructions assume you have the IBM LAN Adapter and Protocol Support (LAPS) program installed. Many IBM LAN products for OS/2 version 2.x require you to use LAPS to configure the protocol stack. LAPS is supplied with the following products:

IBM LAN Server 3.0
IBM Extended Services for OS/2
IBM Network Transport Services/2 (NTS/2)
