Installation for OS/2 LAN Server 4.0

To install the Madge driver MDGND.OS2:

  1. Double-click on the MPTS (Multi-Protocol Transport Services) icon in the OS/2 window. The screen displays the Multi-Protocol Transport Services Logo.

  2. Click on OK. The screen displays the Multi-Protocol Transport Services dialog box.

  3. Click on Install. The screen displays the Install Additional Network Drivers window.

  4. Insert the Madge release disk labelled NDIS Drivers. Type: A:\OS2

  5. Click on OK. The screen displays the Installation Complete dialog box.

  6. Click on OK. The Madge driver MDGND.OS2 is installed.

  7. Click on OK. The screen displays the Multi-Protocol Transport Services dialog box.

  8. Select Configure. The screen displays the Configure window.

  9. Select LAN adapters and protocols from the Adapters and Protocols section. Click on Configure. The screen displays the LAPS Configuration window.

  10. Choose the adapter card installed in your computer from the Network Adapters list. Click on ADD.

  11. Select the protocol you are running from the Protocols section. If you need to, edit the driver parameters. Click on OK. The screen displays the Configure window.

  12. Click on Close. The screen displays the Multi-Protocol Transport Services dialog box.

  13. Click on Exit. The screen displays the Update CONFIG.SYS window.

  14. Select the drive where your CONFIG.SYS is located.

  15. Click on Exit. The CONFIG.SYS file is updated. Click on OK.

  16. Click on Exit, stop all your running programs, turn off and restart your computer. The Madge drivers are now installed on your computer.
