Installing a Ringnode into more than one computer

Madge Wizard can not be run with scripting enabled if you have booted your computer from Release Disk 1.

Always test configurations that have been modified by running a script file. It can be difficult to predict the effect of running a script generated on a different system. For example, a script that configures an ISA adapter correctly may not work as expected on a PCI adapter.

You may need to install or maintain a Ringnode into more than one computer. To simplify this process, Madge Wizard can be used to generate script files that specify a set of actions to perform. For example, to configure Ringnodes to use a particular interrupt, and to update drivers to the latest versions.

When you run a script file Madge Wizard will automatically use the script parameters to configure your Ringnode or DOS client drivers.

To run Madge Wizard with scripting enabled, type at the prompt:

MWIZARD SCRIPTING [ENTER]

Run Madge Wizard with scripting enabled to create script files that:

Configure a Ringnode. (For example, change the ring speed that the Ringnode is configured to use.)

Modify and maintain your DOS network driver installation. (For example, to update to the latest versions.)
