Installing a Ringnode into more than one computer

Installing a Ringnode into more than one computer

Note: Madge Wizard can not be run with scripting enabled if you have booted your computer from Release Disk 1.

Note: Always test configurations that have been modified by running a script file. It can be difficult to predict the effect of running a script generated on a different system. For example, a script that configures an ISA adapter correctly may not work as expected on a PCI adapter.

You may need to install or maintain a Ringnode into more than one computer. To simplify this process, Madge Wizard can be used to generate script files that specify a set of actions to perform. For example, to configure Ringnodes to use a particular interrupt, and to update drivers to the latest versions.

When you run a script file Madge Wizard will automatically use the script parameters to configure your Ringnode or DOS client drivers.

To run Madge Wizard with scripting enabled, type at the prompt:

MWIZARD SCRIPTING [ENTER]

Run Madge Wizard with scripting enabled to create script files that:

*Configure a Ringnode. (For example, change the ring speed that the Ringnode is configured to use.)

*Modify and maintain your DOS network driver installation. (For example, to update to the latest versions.)
