How to use Madge Wizard

Madge Wizard is a graphical user interface that runs under DOS. Madge Wizard will automatically find the most appropriate configuration for your networking environment.

This document tells you how to:

Use Madge Wizard to: configure Madge Smart Ringnodes; configure an optional Smartrom; test installed hardware and confirm that it has been configured correctly; create a disk to install Madge drivers from the LAN Support Software; maintain an existing DOS driver set up.

Use the Madge Wizard scripting option to simplify installing or maintaining Ringnodes in more than one computer.

Configure Madge Wizard to: control the scripting options; change the display mode from graphical to text; run a single utility from the Madge Wizard suite; or configure a single utility from the Madge Wizard suite.

Note If your computer does not have enough resources to run Madge Wizard use the alternative configuration and diagnostic utilities.
