Configuring a new Ringnode

"Install a new Ringnode" is a shortcut to complete all of the necessary steps for configuring a new Ringnode. However, if you want to customize your configuration, or perform more detailed diagnostics you need to click on "Change Ringnode configuration" from the Madge Wizard menu.

See " Ringnode Installation" for installation instructions and configuration options for your Ringnode.

Install the Ringnode into your computer by following the instructions in the "Getting Started" guide (part number: 100-285).

Then, from the Madge Wizard menu, click on "Install a new Ringnode" to:

• Configure the Ringnode, including setting the ring speed and enabling a Smartrom (if fitted).

• Check that the Ringnode is working correctly.

• Modify DOS driver set ups, or create an install disk for network installation software.
