Installing the Smart 16/4 Fiber AT Ringnode

Warning: Always turn off the power to your computer before installing or removing any adapter cards.

Caution: Make sure that the ring speed you set matches the speed of your network. The default ring speed for this Ringnode is 4Mbps.

Before you install the Ringnode, do the following:

Check that the Ringnode is bus compatible with your computer.
Read the handling precautions.
Make sure that the hardware switches are set to the values that you require.
Check the type of cable that you are using. The Ringnode can only be connected via a fiber cable.

Then insert the Ringnode into your computer, and connect it to a working token-ring network.
