Automatic Ringnode configuration

Automatic Ringnode configuration

Note: The Ringnode uses the PCI INTA# interrupt signal. You can configure this signal to use any IRQ (including a shared IRQ, if the other devices using that IRQ also support sharing).

Many PCI computers have a Plug and Play BIOS. If your computer has one of these, then, when you install a new adapter, the computer configures it automatically. If your computer does not have a Plug and Play BIOS, you may need to run the computer's configuration software after installing the Ringnode. For details, refer to the documentation supplied with your computer. If you do need to run the computer's configuration software, you may want to know that the Ringnode uses the following system resources:

  • 32 bytes I/O space

  • One interrupt channel
