Bus compatibility

The Madge Smart 16/4 PCI Ringnode (Bus Master) is compatible with personal computers with 5V PCI slots which conform to the PCI Specification 2.0 or later.

The Ringnode has two hardware revisions. For the majority of applications the two revisions are completely compatible. However, Windows 95 does not recognise the difference in version information stored in the Ringnode. If you manually install drivers using Windows 95 you will be prompted for the name of the adapter that you want to install for. The current version of the Ringnode is identified by a '2' at the end of the name.
