Remote booting from IBM LAN Server version 3.0 or version 2.0

The following sections tell you how to configure LAN Server version 3.0 or version 2.0 so that workstations fitted with Madge Smart Ringnodes may remote boot DOS or OS/2 version 2.x.

Ensure that your Smartrom is programmed to use Remote Program Load. (Remote Program Load, RPL, Remote Initial Program Load and RIPL, are equivalent IBM terms.)
