Introducing the Madge Smartrom

The Madge Smartrom allows a workstation to boot directly from a network server. Booting from the server provides significant benefits. Some Ringnodes, including the Smart 16/4 AT Plus Ringnode, are supplied with a Smartrom onboard. Madge also supplies Smartroms that you can install onto a Smart 16/4 Ringnode yourself. You can remote boot from:

• Network operating systems that support Remote Program Load (including Microsoft LAN Manager, Windows NT, IBM LAN Server, and Novell NetWare).

• Novell NetWare with the Remote Reset booting scheme.
