Firmware for the AT PnP, AT Plus, ISA Client Plus, and PCI BusMaster (BM) 2 Ringnodes

The Smartrom already installed on the AT Plus Ringnode, and the Smartrom you can install onto the ISA Client Plus and the PCI (BM) 2 Ringnodes, are pre-programmed with the firmware, MULTI.ROM, that contains three modules. These give you the option to:
  • Boot the workstation using Remote Reset for NetWare.

  • Boot the workstation using Remote Program Load for LAN Manager, LAN Server, Windows NT, or NetWare.

  • Configure the AT Plus, ISA Client Plus, or PCI (BM) 2 Ringnode in the workstation.

When you boot using the Smartrom on the AT Plus, the ISA Client Plus or the PCI (BM) 2 Ringnode, the Smartrom prompts you to choose which of the above options you require.

NoteThe Smart 16/4 AT Plus Ringnode, EISA Fiber Ringnode, and PCI Fiber Ringnode has a Smartrom already installed. If you are using a Smart 16/4 ISA Client Plus Ringnode, check that the part number on your Smartrom packaging includes the digits: 82-09. If it doesn't, contact your supplier.
